AssetLink offers the SPOT Satellite Messenger, a solution for remote and lone worker safety. The SPOT device works where cell phones don’t, in very remote regions, mountainous terrain, everywhere that the AssetLink system works globally.

The SPOT uses the GPS network and a network of commercial satellites to determine GPS coordinates and send tracking and 911 emergency messages to your operations team and home base. An independent rescue team can also be summoned in case of extreme emergency. Data is displayed on a third party system, although can be integrated with the AssetVision web software system on a custom basis.

Inspired by the story of James Kim and his family, lost and killed by exposure mere miles from his potential rescuers in the Oregon wilderness in the winter of 2006, the SPOT device has saved numerous lives since its introduction in 2008 including the life of a close colleague of the President of AssetLink Global deep in the Colorado mountains.
